Join artist Sonja Czekalski in this fun class using various fibers and textiles to create unique and expressive artwork. Have you been working in drawing and painting media for a while but would like to expand your work? Are you looking to include more texture, more media, or more metaphors in your artistic materials and expression? The goal of this workshop is to expand your language of artistic practices by incorporating unconventional mixed media with traditional textile/fiber craft techniques in order to develop deeper metaphors and forms of expression within the methods and materials of your current art practice. This workshop will introduce ways to work with handmade paper, felting, weaving, embroidery, and more fiber and textile methods which can be applied to 2-D and 3-D creations!
