David Burney—A Tribute to The Man in Black

David Burney, lead singer for one of the nation’s preeminent Johnny Cash tribute bands—Johnny Folsom 4—brings his one-man show to the Cultural Center of Cape Cod for two shows, July 27th and 28th. In “Johnny Cash — an Unchained Life” Burney combines anecdotes and, of course, the songs the whole world knows and loves, delivering an intimate portrayal of Cash’s life from growing up in Dyess, Arkansas, to the early years at Sun Records, his live prison concerts and acclaimed television show, the unexpected success of his MTV videos at the end of his career, and his final days after the death of his beloved June Carter.
