The training will give the attendees an overview on what an active shooter event is and what they can do to protect themselves after 911 is called.
This is a nationally recognized training program developed in conjunction with the Department of Justice and Texas State University.
The training will look at the Virginia Tech School shooting and other events, reviewing data from a study conducted by the FBI in from 2000-2013 on active shooter/hostile events.
